Various types of contest
- THE EXTERNAL CONTEST (OPEN ALL)
One distinguishes:
- the competition based on proofs where the jury decides starting from the results obtained by the candidates with the various proofs;
- the competition on the basis of qualifications with proof (S) where the jury decides within sight of the file of the candidates and after one or more proofs.
Conditions of educational level or diplomas for the external contests
The access to the external contests is generally subordinated to the possession of a diploma. In general, the level of necessary diploma depends on the hierarchical category (has, B or C) which the framework concerns employment:

By external competition based on proofs
Opened with the titular candidates at least of a bond or diploma approved on the level V, according to the procedure defined by the decree No 92-23 of January 8th, 1992 relating to the homologation of the bonds or diplomas of technological teaching (HEADING for example).
Exempt diploma:
The mothers of at least three children whom they raise or raised indeed and the sportsmen high level are exempted of diploma to forward itself to various contests. This derogation is extended for the contests opened starting from December 1st, 2005, with the mothers and the fathers of at least 3 children. LAW 2067 143 of July 26th, 2005
However this exemption is not worth for the regulated professions obligatorily implying the possession of a diploma for the exercise of the profession (examples: doctor, social worker).
The contests are organized by the accounts centres and the communities themselves when they are not affiliated. The access terms and the procedures of organization of the contest for the recruitment of the police officers municipal are laid down by the decree No 94 032 of October 25th, 1994 and Arrêté of January 20th, 2000 amending the closure of October 25th, 1994 fixing the program of the matters of the proofs of the contest for the recruitment of the police officers municipal.
